William has been involved with Special Olympics Virginia for 5–10 years, coaching flag football as well as softball and basketball. A retired professional, he found fulfillment in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, including his son. His biggest challenge has been navigating resources to support his son alongside his wife, but his greatest pride comes from seeing his son Roman graduate from high school and secure a job through a special program called Job Search, eventually working at a golf course.
